Good afternon! I hope you all are doing well. The semester at UC has wrapped up and summer is officially upon us down here in Cincinnati. As a result, service and Life Groups look a little bit different now, but the Lord is still doing some amazing work on this campus and in the lives of our students. This will be a short update and I will try to push out at least two more before the summer ends. In here you will find my most recent preaching opportunity, information about our spring semester baptisms, and our summer LT program!
First off, during summer, other staff members such as myself get opportunites to preach. I will have two of these opportunites this summer. The first one was on May 9 and was over Mark 1:32-39 and you may watch it below, the second will be on June 20 and you can watch the live stream if you so desire at 5:00PM on that day on our YouTube Page! If not, I will embed it in my next update!
Secondly, we had our spring semester baptisms at the end of the semester last month and we coupled that service with an extended worship time. During the actual baptism service, nine people chose to be obedient by being baptized. Then, during the extended worship time, four more chose to be baptized. This entire Sunday was an incredible testimony to the faithfullnes of God and what is even crazier is that this happened despite Covid. The video below is one I stitched together of each of the people that got baptized during the regular service.
One of the people baptized during the service was my Well mentee, Alex.
I have been meeting up with him weekly since the beginning of the spring semester. Since then, the two of us have gone through Romans together and recently started going through the minor prophets.
Lastly, our church is sending 13 students and 1 staff member to Estes Park, Colorado for the summer for our Collegiate Leadership Training program. They will be there for three months and the program itself is an incredible opporunity for each of them to grow closer to the Lord and develop their leadership skills. Below is a short announcement of LT from our staff member who is going out, Ethan Carle. You will continue to get updates about LT from me throughout the summer, but the most up-to-date place to stay tuned will be our Instagram page! In the meantime, please be praying for their time out there!
I know this was a shorter update than normal, but I want to start doing more frequent updates that are shorter and more concise than what I have been doing to stay in touch more! If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me and I would love to chat!
Once again, I want to thank all of you who are supporting Laura and I either financially or via prayer through all of this as you are making it possible for me and the rest of H2O Cincinnati's staff team to reach the students at the University of Cincinnati. If you are not a part of our financial support team, I ask that you prayerfully consider joining us and our mission with H2O Cincinnati at a monthly amount by clicking on the give button on the top of your screen.
