This past month in Ashland has been filled with a lot of choices, but I am glad to say that I think I've made the right ones for me. The first one is simply an official date for when I'm moving down to Cincy. While I initially wanted to move down at the beginning of February, I have decided to move down sooner than that on Monday, January 14th in order to be down there for the start of the semester and start off strong with H2O. Since I am joining H2O's staff halfway through the year, I will not be officially leading a Lifegroup, but will be assigned to one once I return. I still don't know this information, but as soon as I do so will you.
The biggest decision I've made is to only go part-time staff with H2O Cincinnati. This decision comes after months of contemplation about what I wanted to spend the next fifty some years doing; and while I love ministry, I've come to realize that I love working with kids more. So, along with going part-time, I will be heading back to school at The University of Cincinnati to pursue my Master's in Secondary Education. This does not mean that I won't be doing ministry or that those of you whom support me have supported me for nothing--I do not think it's a coincidence that with the amount of support I have right now that I am fully funded for part-time staff. I will still be heading up the Men's Ministry within H2O, leading a Lifegroup, disciplining students, and taking a part in The Valley. All that will change is the amount I am being paid to do those things. Thus, I want to thank all of you whom are supporting me right now as you are the ones who are making it possible to do both of these things. Because I am only going part-time, though, I will also be substitute teaching in the Cincinnati area next semester. This will make up for the money I will be missing from not being full-time and will give me classroom experience before I even apply for grad school.
Once again, I want to thank all of you who are supporting me financially through all of this as you are making it possible for me and the rest of H2O Cincinnati's staff team to reach the students at the University of Cincinnati. If you are not a part of my team, I ask that you prayerfully consider joining at a monthly amount by clicking on the "give now" button on the top right of your screen.
I hope all of you have a very merry Christmas and if you have any prayer requests please reach out to me. God Bless,
